I believe that running the state isn’t only about party affiliation, but also the ability to encourage all parties to work together in order to do what is best for Florida. I am a Republican, but I do not believe that anyone’s idea should be discounted simply because that person disagrees with me or belongs to a different party. If elected, I would surround myself with people from various walks of life with different experiences and different opinions. By doing so, I feel I would be able to make the most informed, and therefore, best possible decisions for all of Florida. I also believe it is important to remain in direct contact with the people of Florida. Therefore, during my term I plan to set up town halls, on a quarterly basis, around the state to meet with it’s citizens.
